Quincentennial Award 2021
The Consul-General of Toronto, Hon. Orontes V Castro rallied the Filipino community leaders, its organizations and the media to commemorate the 500 Years of Christianity in the Philippines right here in Ontario and other provinces. Durham Filfest reciprocated that call and joined the rest to celebrate the Quincentennial Celebration 2021.
The Philippine Consulate Toronto then recognizes individuals and organizations by giving them an award. One of the recipients of that award is Durham Filipino Fest. with its founder, Li ERON. The award ceremony was given at St. Michael's Cathedral on August 27, 2021 by no less than Hon. Orontes V Castro.
