The Philippine Flag was hoisted at the Regional Municipality of Durham HQ on June 1, 2023 with a flag-raising ceremony celebrating June Filipino Heritage Month 2023.

Durham Filipino Fest received the Proclamation Certificate from Hon. John Henry with Whitby mayor Elizabeth Roy.
